Track and Field
Arbor’s Middle School track team is well established! Whether you want to sprint, run distance, jump, put the shot, or throw the discus, or just have fun with friends, come out and give track a try, because there is something for everyone. You can try as many or as few events as you like. It is also a great way to meet new people and get in shape. Coaches are parent volunteers, teachers and Arbor alumni. Practices are held three times per week on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Arbor participates in track and field meets organized by the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference (MAAC). This is for Middle Schoolers and 6th Years; 5th Years can practice with the team. Please come and try it no matter what your skill or experience!

Additional Fitness
Practicing two or three times a week is not enough time to get ready to participate in track. All athletes are encouraged to do additional athletic activities during the week. Many athletes participate in other sports, and that is a great way to get in better shape for track and field. For athletes who do not participate in other sports during the spring, additional activities relating to the jumping and running events can be suggested. Running with the morning running group at Arbor in the mornings is a great way to get in shape.
